Frequently asked questions
When will I get paid?

The settlement period is T+3 working days from the order date. For example, if an order is placed on Monday, ShopBack will remit to you by the end of Thursday.

What are the fees for customers?

ShopBack Pay and PayLater are completely free for customers to download and use.

How does ShopBack PayLater work?

With ShopBack PayLater, customers can purchase from your store and pay only ⅓ of the price upfront, all while paying 0% in interest across all three instalments. This helps to encourage a higher conversion rate and an increase in basket size.

What happens if there is a refund when a customer chooses to buy now and pay later?

ShopBack strictly adheres to your refund policies. In the event that a customer requests a refund, we will direct the customer to you for further assistance. You can initiate a partial or full refund accordingly on our Merchant Portal.

What if my customers do not pay on time or defaults on a payment cycle?

ShopBack assumes the credit and fraud risk in such scenarios. You'll always be paid in full so you can focus on running your business with greater peace of mind.

Are all payment options available to me?

If you're an online merchant who operates an e-commerce business, you are eligible to offer ShopBack Pay and/or PayLater to your customers as part of your online checkout flow only.

If you're an offline merchant who operates a retail store, you are eligible to offer ShopBack Pay and/or PayLater to your customers in-store only.

If you operate both online and offline, you are eligible to offer ShopBack Pay and/or PayLater within your website and in-store.

Who can apply to become a ShopBack merchant partner?

Registered companies in Malaysia selling products and/or services listed here may apply to work with ShopBack.

Kindly note that merchants who sell products and/or services not listed above may still apply to become a ShopBack merchant partner, but applications are subjected to ShopBack's review and approval.
